Motown Winter Blast
When frost is in the air, bundle up and head over to the Motown Winter Blast in Campus Martius Park. This festival features very, very cool events and fun activities for the whole family. Campus Martius Park
Originally a central point of early Detroit lost in the reconfiguration of roads and traffic, the famous Campus Martius Park was re-established as a Renaissance City focal point in 2003. Located in the heart of downtown, this urban park was designed to resemble New York City’s Rockefeller Center with its sculptures, monuments, fountains, bistros, patches of greenery and skating rink hemmed in by towering buildings and other downtown attractions.
Detroit River Walk
Enjoy the outdoors and a lovely scenic view of the Detroit International Riverfront as you stroll, jog or bike along the Detroit River Walk. This paved pathway essentially consists of a 5.5-mile promenade that runs from the Ambassador Bridge to Belle Isle Park. Stop along one of the plaza or pavilions for some fun at the carousel, butterfly garden or fishing piers.
