Near the Fox Theatre, you’ll find The Fillmore Detroit. This mixed-use entertainment hotspot hosts the most popular music acts in the city, from rock and pop to blues and alternative. This paved pathway essentially consists of a 5.5-mile promenade that runs from the Ambassador Bridge to Belle Isle Park. Surround yourself with the beauty and tranquility of nature when you visit the University of Michigan Matthaei Botanical Gardens. The outdoor gardens are open for free to the public, although the conservatory itself requires an admission fee. Outside, you can wander around over a dozen different gardens, including a rock garden and a labyrinth, as well as walk along five different nature trails. And there’s even more on the inside!

Roll on down the Detroit River with Diamond Jack’s River Tours. Stop by the dock on Thursday-Sunday at 1:00PM or 3:30PM for a two hour cruise in this busy international waterway.
