Located in Midtown Detroit’s Cultural Center Historic District, this 80,000-square-foot museum has been around since 1928, making it both America’s largest and oldest museum dedicated to a metropolitan history. The nation’s first and only graduate repertory theater, the Hilberry Theatre gives its audience a unique theatrical experience. See a mixture of six classic and modern plays in the cozy yet stylish open-stage theater, performed by the specially selected company of 40-45 graduate students working with a team of professional staff.

Right by the Renaissance Center, the GM Plaza and Promenade along the Riverfront has plenty for lovers, young and old. With a spectacular water feature known as the Fountains and a breathtaking view of the city’s impressive architecture, this area is perfect for a romantic rendezvous, lazily strolling along after a long day.
