The Mandan Rodeo Days Celebration has been proudly named one of the “Top 100 Events in America” by the North American Bus Tours Association. If it's excitement you're after this is the event to see, as this three-day PRCA rodeo is packed with three fast-paced rodeo performances. The festival also extends beyond the rodeo to offer visitors Art in the Park, live music, a carnival, dancing, baseball, pitchfork fondue, a golf tournament, and, as the event is held every July, an Independence Day Parade.

Every June, attention is turned to the diamond–the softball diamond–for a fun event known as the McQuade Charity Softball Tournament. McQuade is the country's largest charity, and this weekend tournament and festival was founded back in 1976 to help raise money to make even more charitable work possible. Teams travel from as far away as Washington, Colorado, California, Missouri, Nevada and Michigan to take part in what is clearly one of North Dakota's largest yearly events.
United Tribes International Powwow

North Dakota's Native American influence is strongly linked to the area's history in many ways. That connection is celebrated in a highly memorable fashion every September at the United Tribes International Powwow held in Bismarck. The festival takes place at the Lone Star Arena at United Tribes Technical College and is considered to be one of the premier cultural events in the state. Over 70 tribes are represented, and each one is celebrated by over 1,500 dancers and drummers. The event attracts over 20,000 spectators who all convene for the Powwow to watch the “Champion” dancers and singers that travel to Bismarck from all over the United States and Canada to compete for top honors.
