The Buffalo Museum of Science has an incredible number of stories to tell. But instead of presenting these accounts in a dry and uninteresting way, the exhibits and special presentations that can be found here bring it all to life in a way that makes learning about the area as fun as it is informative. The museum prides itself in its exhibits that span the various scientific fields, and the depth and breadth of their mission is accomplished quite well. Among the many highlights here are mummies and the biggest Kodiak bears in the world.

The Allegany State Park is the largest of New York's state parks as it contains an impressive 65,000 acres of public lands and offers a wide range of recreational activities throughout the year. You can enjoy a guided walk along the Bear Cave Trail, check out the stunning rock formations at the Allegany Plateau, go swimming and sunbathe on either of two beaches, and even go boating or fishing. A slice of Buffalo's history can be revisited when you step into the Old Post Office. The structure dates back to 1901 and is augmented by not only a classic architectural design but a majestic tower and equally intriguing interior court. While the structure once served as the city's post office, it now is home to the Erie Community College. Despite that fact, the Old Post Office still retains a high level of vintage charm that makes it an attraction that's well worth a visit.

Shea's Performing Arts Center brings Broadway to Buffalo! This time-tested venue opened its doors in 1926 and has been consistently delivering riveting performances ever since. Designed in the style of a European opera house and located in Buffalo's Theater District, the venue attracts productions that are just as impressive as the structure itself. Throughout the year, there are various operas, plays, concerts, touring shows, organ concerts and children's shows that not only thrill audiences but keep them coming back for more first-class entertainment.
