Right before the summer winds down in Buffalo, art aficionados make their way to the Elmwood Avenue Festival of the Arts. Held annually for the last eleven years, this is a great family-friendly event that celebrates art in various forms as created by artists from the area as well as those that travel to Buffalo from all over the country. Visitors can shop for various items offered by more than 170 artists and craftspeople who are on hand selling their work in 16 different mediums. There's also great live music, dancing performances and even a place for the kids to dance, too. Plus, there's great food, informative environmental booths, and various local organizations on hand whose mission it is to further Buffalo's cultural development.

Buffalo's National Buffalo Wing Festival is held every September at Coca-Cola Field.
