A slice of Buffalo's history can be revisited when you step into the Old Post Office. The structure dates back to 1901 and is augmented by not only a classic architectural design but a majestic tower and equally intriguing interior court. While the structure once served as the city's post office, it now is home to the Erie Community College. Despite that fact, the Old Post Office still retains a high level of vintage charm that makes it an attraction that's well worth a visit.

With hectic schedules and various other distractions, it is often difficult for couples to make time to just talk and enjoy each other's company. If that sounds like a familiar scenario for you and your partner, then take a little time for a romantic date of a different sort by visiting the Hallwalls Contemporary Art Center. Stroll hand in hand from gallery to gallery as you take in the best in cutting-edge visual arts, contemporary music or innovative performance art. And maybe after absorbing it all, the two of you can find a bench in the corner and share some intimate conversation among these memorable expressions of art.

There are plenty of hockey fans in Buffalo, and with good reason. They get behind their team, the Buffalo Sabres, as the team is consistently one of the top drawing cards during the NHL season that runs from September through April. The sports team plays its home games in the HBSC Arena in downtown Buffalo.

Delaware Park is a favorite of Buffalo residents for many reasons, not the least of which is the fact that it bears a resemblance to New York City's Central Park. The reason for that is because landscape architect Frederick Law Olmsted, who designed that park for the Big Apple, also designed Delaware Park. Olmsted said that his formula for a great park always had to include water, woods and meadows, and all three are distinctly present at Delaware Park. This is an ideal place to bring the family for a day of fun outdoors that includes walking, jogging, playing tennis or golf, or just enjoying a picnic in one of the park's many expansive areas.
