The Allegany State Park is the largest of New York's state parks as it contains an impressive 65,000 acres of public lands and offers a wide range of recreational activities throughout the year. You can enjoy a guided walk along the Bear Cave Trail, check out the stunning rock formations at the Allegany Plateau, go swimming and sunbathe on either of two beaches, and even go boating or fishing. Buffalo's National Buffalo Wing Festival is held every September at Coca-Cola Field. This fully restored 1908 Victorian playhouse is the perfect place to revisit various classic plays, or maybe see the flowering of the talents of some up-and-coming actors. Either way, you and your sweetheart will not only enjoy what's happening on stage, but also the venue's regal ambiance and vintage feel are fitting backdrops for your special romantic date together.

Transport yourself back in time to an area where classic homes and perfectly planted gardens were the order of the day. The Parkside Garden Tour is a self-guided tour of the impressive Parkside neighborhood that features over 50 gorgeous gardens. Parkside is an area of Buffalo that was designed by Frederick Law Olmsted and has the distinction of being listed on the National Register of Historic Places. In addition to the stunning gardens, you'll also get to view various 19th century homes along the tour route.
