The Buffalo Zoo offers a collection of various species of some of the world's most amazing animals, all presented in their natural habitats. As it is one of the country's oldest zoos, it's also one of the most extensive. Species from all over the globe are represented in the exhibits and attractions here, including pandas, polar bears, Indian rhinos and lots more. Add some adventure to your aquatic recreation by going kayaking. If you're a novice to the sport, you can get the proper gear and guidance from the staff at Buffalo Harbor Kayak. They are located on the wharf next to the Commercial Slip in Buffalo's Inner Harbor.

The Allegany State Park is the largest of New York's state parks as it contains an impressive 65,000 acres of public lands and offers a wide range of recreational activities throughout the year. You can enjoy a guided walk along the Bear Cave Trail, check out the stunning rock formations at the Allegany Plateau, go swimming and sunbathe on either of two beaches, and even go boating or fishing. There's cross-country skiing available, too. So in addition to enjoying some outdoor beauty, you won't be at a loss for any fun activities to enjoy!
