The gallery exclusively exhibits the work of the students and faculty of the Rhode Island Independent School District. This ever-changing collection underscores the talents and expressive abilities of artists who are a vital part of our community. The art is expressed through various mediums that include glass, graphic design, textiles, architecture, painting and photography.

For a completely different biking or walking experience, make your way to Swan Point Cemetery. This historic site features beautiful plants and monuments. Walking or slow biking on the trail is allowed. Also, out of respect for the families who have loved ones buried here, proper attire is requested.

Satisfy your appetite for history with a visit to the highly unique Culinary Arts Museum at Johnson and Wales University. See impressive exhibits and attractions like American cast iron stoves that date back to the 1800s, ancient Roman silverware, a huge cookbook collection and over 4,000 menus from all over the world. The various exhibits also feature such appetizing fare as the history of the microwave, authentic parts of classic diners, and a history of open hearths. This fun and entertaining venue offers quite a lot to sink your teeth into!

Kids love to play on fun playground rides. But in doing that, they can also learn about the importance of being a good neighbor when you take them to the Peace and Plenty Community Park. This long-awaited community playground attraction has been in the making for some time, and now that it has been unveiled, it symbolizes the importance of working together. Neighbors, community families and the City of Providence Parks Department have all collaborated to create this fun place on the site that was once an old apartment building. Since that structure was demolished, this beacon of unity stands in its place for friends and families to enjoy.
