Learning about art can sometimes seem like a gargantuan task. But when you step into the Rhode Island School of Design Museum, prepare to be amazed at the depth and breadth of the work that is displayed here. Learn about art that spans ancient Roman sculpture all the way up to modern graphic design. Some of the many highlights and attractions include the 19th century French galleries that feature the work of Matisse, Rodin and Monet, just to name a few. You'll also be captivated by the beautiful pieces that are part of the Greek and Roman galleries that include sculptures and frescoes. By the time you experience all 45 galleries, you'll be an art expert!

With the pressures of deadlines and work and bills and everyday life, sometimes you both feel like escaping it all. While you may not be able to escape as far away as you would like, maybe a romantic date on the New England Fast Ferry will create a special memory for the two of you. This ferry covers the area from Providence to Newport and back. Rides are between an hour and an hour and a half, so you can make a little getaway before you both have to come back to reality!

Nature lovers with an adventurous spirit will love exploring all of the incredible indoor and outdoor sites that can be found at the Roger Williams Park Botanical Center. This venue features the largest indoor display of gardens in the New England area. The Conservatory and greenhouses are situated on over 12,000 feet of gardens.
