Selena Quintanilla-Perez was an amazing Tejano singer who truly made a lasting impact on people all around the world. She was affectionately known as the Queen of Tejano Music, and it's no surprise why. Her music was incredible, and even today, her legacy remains alive and well through her timeless songs. One of the most beautiful ways that Selena is remembered is through the Selena Memorial Statue, also known as Mirador de la Flor or Overlook of the Flower. This stunning memorial serves as a tribute to this incredible artist. Be sure to visit the Paseo de la Flor, the walkway below the memorial. Here, you can see homemade tiles created by South Texas school children and senior citizens, making it a truly special place to visit.
Immerse yourself and those closest to you in a new live-action adventure game at the 11th Hour Escape, where you and your crew are locked in a themed room and have to solve clues, puzzles, and riddles within an hour to escape. You must be observant, explore the room, and use critical thinking to succeed. For a more immersive experience, 11th Hour encourages all guests to cosplay, where you dress up in costumes representing and inhabiting a character of the themed room of your choice.
The Corpus Christi Museum of Science and History invites you to explore the natural history exhibits and a collection of artifacts that tell the history of the New World as it unfolded on the Gulf Coast. Check out the unique life-sized replicas of the Nina, Pinta, and Santa Maria ships. The vessels were a gift from Spain to commemorate the 500th anniversary of Christopher Columbus' voyage to the New World. They were constructed from authentic 15th-century materials, including wood from the same forest as Columbus' ships and hand-forged nails. Other exhibits include an interactive shipwreck display, artifacts related to French explorer Robert Cavelier, the Children's Wharf, Native American crafts, and bird and reptile eggs that chronicle the history and culture of South Texas.
