Make a splash at Hurricane Alley, the Coastal Bend's largest and newest waterpark, which features exciting attractions and plenty of water so you can cool off under the Texas sun. Experience the rush of the 6-story Cat 5 water slide, race down the Storm Chaser speed slide, battle the waves of the Storm Surge or get carried away in the Gulf Stream lazy river. There are also designated areas where pint-sized visitors can have fun made just for them. There are also swim-up bars where adults can enjoy a drink without leaving the water.

The Corpus Christi Museum of Science and History invites you to explore the natural history exhibits and a collection of artifacts that tell the history of the New World as it unfolded on the Gulf Coast. Check out the unique life-sized replicas of the Nina, Pinta, and Santa Maria ships. The vessels were a gift from Spain to commemorate the 500th anniversary of Christopher Columbus' voyage to the New World. They were constructed from authentic 15th-century materials, including wood from the same forest as Columbus' ships and hand-forged nails. Other exhibits include an interactive shipwreck display, artifacts related to French explorer Robert Cavelier, the Children's Wharf, Native American crafts, and bird and reptile eggs that chronicle the history and culture of South Texas.

Get to shuckin' at the Fulton Oysterfest, where you can enjoy the carnival rides, games, food, an oyster eating contest, live music, and unique vendor booths, all on the beautiful Rockport-Fulton bayfront. Oysterfest officials have been working with seafood sources along the Texas Gulf Coast to locate the freshest oysters and other seafood for the event as well as the most popular entertainment.
