The Corpus Christi Hooks are a minor league baseball team that plays at Whataburger Field. The team is a Class AA affiliate of the Houston Astros.
The team has made a name for itself through the years, making the season playoffs multiple times and setting league records for individual players and for attendance.
Whataburger Field captures the feel of an old-school baseball stadium. Many of the seats are 'open-air' and are shaded naturally during most game play. The 'industrial' design of the stadium is a nod to the cotton yards and warehouses that once occupied the area. The field sits in front of the Corpus Christi ship channel and includes views of the Harbor Bridge and Corpus Christi Bay.
The 5,400-seat stadium includes 19 luxury suites, 2 berm areas for lawn seating and many amenities in the park. Attractions include a rock-climbing wall, play park, basketball courts and a pool with deck for private parties.
Build your tennis skills at the H-E-B Tennis Center. The recreation facility hosts programs for children and adults who want to brush up on their game. You'll leave feeling like the next Andre Agassi or Anna Kournikova.
