If you're a fan of the classic TV show "Dallas," you won't miss the chance to visit Southfork Ranch and return to the world of JR Ewing and the rest of the Ewing family. The Ranch is open daily and offers visitors the chance to see memorabilia from the series, including the gun that shot JR, Lucy's Wedding Dress, the "Dallas" Family Tree, and Jock's Lincoln Continental. The tour begins at the Ranch Round-Up Visitors Center, where guests are picked up by a tram and taken to the famous Ewing Mansion. Along the way, knowledgeable tour guides provide a fascinating history of the Ranch, and guests can even see Texas Longhorns and American Quarter Horses. Whether you're traveling solo or part of a group tour, Southfork Ranch is open year-round and offers guided tours of the Ranch. In the "Dallas Legends" exhibit, visitors can see an exciting array of memorabilia from the series and relive some of its most thrilling moments.

Explore Cedar Hill State Park, a stunning urban nature preserve where you can take in breathtaking views of the limestone hills and rare prairie pockets or relax by the picturesque Joe Pool Lake. Plenty of outdoor activities exist, including mountain biking, bird watching, hiking, jogging, boating, fishing, and swimming. Bring your family to hike, bike, picnic, camp, geocache, and nature watch. You can even spend the night at one of the 350 developed campsites, all near restrooms with hot showers. All sites have water and electricity, and several are ADA-accessible.

The Granada Theater must have been quite the spectacle when it first opened in the Dallas market on January 16, 1946, with the screening of "Mildred Pierce." Even today, it continues to impress with its stunning exterior adorned with neon lights that evoke the glitz and glamor of Hollywood's Golden Era. You'll find plenty of art deco designs inside and out, with rounded corners and linear accents that harken back to a bygone era. You will want to attend the main hall's original art murals, designed by the same artists behind Los Angeles's famed Grauman's Chinese Theater. These grand-scale murals depict various film genres, while the ceiling features a stunning mythological "film goddess" standing over a film reel. It's truly a sight to behold.
