Tour 18 different museums within The Houston Museum District located in downtown Houston. They all feature free admission on certain days and 11 of them have free admission all the time. The museums that comprise the district are Buffalo Soldiers National Museum, Byzantine Fresco Chapel Museum, Children's Museum of Houston, Contemporary Arts Museum Houston, Czech Cultural Center Houston, The Health Museum, Holocaust Museum Houston, Houston Center for Contemporary Craft, Houston Center for Photography, Houston Museum of Natural Science, Houston Zoo, The John C. Freeman Weather Museum, The Jung Center Of Houston, Lawndale Art Center, The Menil Collection, The Museum of Fine Arts - Houston, Rice University Art Gallery, The Rothko Chapel.

Theatre Southwest continues its passion for performance with six productions, a Festival of Originals, and monthly workshops. The entertainment venue showcases seasoned performers and break-out talent. As the theater continues to evolve and grow, it looks to lead Houston into a new era of breathtaking performances and live entertainment. All this creativity and activity takes a lot of work and a good amount of creative people. Get your motor runnin' at the Art Car Parade, where the Orange Show Center for Visionary Art showcases real working cars designed to suit the owner's aesthetic, personality, and creative inspiration. Celebrate the four-day extravaganza that attracts over 250 vehicle entries, that include anything on wheels, from bicycles and unicycles to lawnmowers, cars, and go-carts from over 23 states, including Canada and Mexico. Whether the vehicles have been painted, welded, sculpted, dropped, chopped, beaded, smashed, crashed, lit, or lifted, the Art Cars come in all shapes, sizes, and forms. The only rule is that it must roll.
