Protesters demand accountability in Maleah Davis case

HOUSTON-This Saturday will mark three weeks since Maleah Davis was reported missing. Several protesters showed up to the courthouse Wednesday as Maleahs mother was scheduled for a CPS hearing. They believe Maleahs parents, the judge and the CPS workers involved in the case should be held accountable. The protesters were chanting Justice for Maleah and saying they were there to stand up for the little girl. Her familys involvement with CPS has raised a lot of questions throughout the investigation

Local animal shelters overcrowded, reducing costs on adoptions

Last month, the Harris County Animal Shelter reached a no-kill status. Recently, they got a huge influx of animals in a 48-hour period, causing them to reach capacity. Now according to officials, the shelter took in more than 200 animals in just two days. The shelter says its a critical situation.
