Tour 18 different museums within The Houston Museum District located in downtown Houston. They all feature free admission on certain days and 11 of them have free admission all the time. After your museum tours, explore exhibits, collections, and workshops and take in a few live performances. Freeman Weather Museum, The Jung Center Of Houston, Lawndale Art Center, The Menil Collection, The Museum of Fine Arts - Houston, Rice University Art Gallery, The Rothko Chapel.

Theatre Southwest continues its passion for performance with six productions, a Festival of Originals, and monthly workshops. The entertainment venue showcases seasoned performers and break-out talent. As the theater continues to evolve and grow, it looks to lead Houston into a new era of breathtaking performances and live entertainment. All this creativity and activity takes a lot of work and a good amount of creative people. Enjoy your time at the Fun Plex Amusement Park, an indoor carnival featuring a towering facility that managed to put fun under one roof. Wander around and check out the playtime oasis that includes go-karts, carnival rides, a carousel, a Ferris wheel, bumper cars, movie theaters, a miniature golf course, a bowling alley, a roller skating rink, modern arcade games, a pool hall, and a play port. Concession stands with food and drink provide plenty of fuel to go all day.

Enjoy the 106 acres of family fun, where things get smoking hot at the sprawling barbecue pits and at the hottest concerts that will keep you moving. Held in May and at the Pasadena Fairgrounds, the festival is home to the World's Largest Strawberry Shortcake, Mud Volleyball, Carnival, BBQ cook-off, specialty acts, stage entertainers, a petting zoo, pony rides, racing pigs, and plenty of arts & crafts.
