Celebrate Hispanic culture and empower the community by promoting inclusion, culture, and education at the Institute of Hispanic Culture, where you will learn about the historical, linguistic, scientific, and artistic influence of Hispanic culture in the United States. Join together to preserve and disseminate the richness of Hispanic culture, values, and civic interests with the community of Houston, and see how they provide different educational and networking activities in collaboration with local universities. The main priorities of the Institute of Hispanic Culture are education and preserving Hispanic culture and values. As such, the Institute’s committees organize activities and events to raise funds for scholarship programs.

Levy Park is a vibrant urban space located in the heart of the Upper Kirby District of Houston. The park’s design features beautiful landscaping, activity areas, a dog park, a community garden, and a Children’s Park. The grounds are free, year-round passive and active programming in wellness, the arts, education, and recreation. Whether you visit the park for a special event, program, picnic, play date, or enjoy the outdoors, Levy Park is your space to connect, experience, do, and play.

Celebrate all things Texas at the annual Texian Market Days Festival, which is the biggest living history event of the year that you don’t want to miss out on. Bring the whole family to discover more than 150 years of Texas history with this day-long celebration of living history that includes hands-on activities, battle reenactments, live entertainment, food, craft vendors, pioneer folklife, cattle working demonstrations, historic home tours, games, cowboys, and vintage vehicles.
