Worldfest-Houston International Film Festival is the oldest independent film and video festival that has evolved over 50 years to recognize and honor outstanding creative excellence in film and video and validates brilliant abilities to promote cultural tourism for Houston. WorldFest screens only 55-60 feature film premieres, with a complete and absolute emphasis on American and International Independent feature films and a continuing annual spotlight on an individual country and its films. They also offer competition in TV production, commercials, and music videos.

Capture a moment in time at the Houston Center for Photography, where you'll find evolving exhibits by emerging and established photographers and plenty of spur-of-the-moment workshops to brush up on your photography skills. As a small visual artists organization, their gallery features some of the finest works of contemporary photography. They also offer over 300 photography classes and workshops year-round. Varying in competency levels, these classes are all taught by esteemed photographers and lecturers, including some of the masters of the medium.

Enjoy outdoor entertainment under the stars at the Miller Outdoor Theatre, one of Houston’s culturally diverse and always free outdoor performance venues. Relax in the covered seating area or enjoy a pre-performance picnic on the hillside as you experience the most diverse eight-month season of professional shows that include classical, jazz, and ethnic music, dance, ballet, Shakespeare, musical theatre, classic films, and more.
