Worldfest-Houston International Film Festival is the oldest independent film and video festival that has evolved over 50 years to recognize and honor outstanding creative excellence in film and video and validates brilliant abilities to promote cultural tourism for Houston. WorldFest screens only 55-60 feature film premieres, with a complete and absolute emphasis on American and International Independent feature films and a continuing annual spotlight on an individual country and its films. They also offer competition in TV production, commercials, and music videos.

Visit the Chapel of St. Basil, based at the University of St. Thomas. Designed by renowned architect Phillip Johnson, the chapel includes three functioning bells, a custom-built organ, and an overall style reminiscent of historic European churches. The chapel hosts Mass every day. It seats about 225 people and is lit from the inside by natural light from the dome, a skylight over the altar, and the statue of Our Lady on the east wall and from the asymmetrical glass cross on the west wall.

Etro Lounge is a neighborhood bar & lounge geared towards the social drinker where you can appreciate the unique interior in more ways than you would expect to find in some of your upper midtown establishments with an industrial twist. The lounge offers two bars, a spacious covered outdoor patio, and a more intimate lounging area upstairs. Music during the week varies from indie, electro, EDM, and 80's underground, while a DJ spins during the week and at night with the same taste in the style of music.
