The National United States Armed Forces Museum educates and memorializes the heroic sacrifices and valiant efforts of soldiers who fought to keep our nation free. The museum displays rare collections and preservations of historical military artifacts, historical research, education, and the presentation of the public of the museum's collection. They wish to expand knowledge, deepen awareness, and provide a greater appreciation, to both visitors and residents, of the dedication and sacrifice of citizens in those in defense of liberty.

Sugar Room is a hidden speakeasy-inspired bar located in the heart of Houston’s bustling nightlife scene. Rooted in pre-prohibition style libations, the Sugar Room features a seasonally rotating cocktail list and an extensive selection of wine and approachable, sought-after spirits. Enjoy hand-crafted cocktails in the upscale lounge, or move the party to the outdoor patio with 2,000 square feet of space for socially-distanced socializing.

Batten down the hatches and prepare for the Buffalo Bayou Regatta, Texas' largest canoe and kayak race open to paddlers ages 12 and up and who are encouraged to compete in the most memorable race along the scenic Buffalo Bayou that is a longstanding Houston tradition that begins near San Felipe Street and concludes at Allen's Landing. Free shuttle services are provided for all participants for the 15-mile exciting race that concludes with festivities, including live zydeco music, food and drinks, and trophies for the top three paddlers in Teams, Recreational Canoe, Recreational Kayak, and Unlimited Divisions.
