In addition to the permanent exhibits, other attractions include the McGovern Theater, the Sue Trammell Whitfield Gallery for traveling exhibitions, and four Learning Centers for classes, camps, and activities.

Levy Park is a vibrant urban space located in the heart of the Upper Kirby District of Houston. The park’s design features beautiful landscaping, activity areas, a dog park, a community garden, and a Children’s Park. Held in May and at the Pasadena Fairgrounds, the festival is home to the World's Largest Strawberry Shortcake, Mud Volleyball, Carnival, BBQ cook-off, specialty acts, stage entertainers, a petting zoo, pony rides, racing pigs, and plenty of arts & crafts.
