Theatre Southwest continues its passion for performance with six productions, a Festival of Originals, and monthly workshops. Saddle up and get ready for a wild ride with rodeo champs and entertainment superstars at the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo, where they promote agriculture by hosting an annual, family-friendly experience that educates and entertains the public, showcases the Western heritage, and provides year-round educational support within the community. Attend the world's largest livestock show and rodeo, where the event begins with the rodeo competition, and once the dust settles, the entertainer takes the stage. Make sure to take a walk about the festival and enjoy the Bar-B-Cue Contest, Best Bites Competition, Rodeo Roundup, Rodeo Run, take on the Trail Rides, and enjoy the Wine Show and Auction.

Satisfy your curiosity about the inner workings of a city police department at the Houston Police Department Museum, featuring a free-of-charge walkthrough where you can explore on your own or join a group tour. As you walk through the museum, you will come across the Wall of Honor memorial that shows badges, uniforms, artifacts from the Honor Guard, SWAT, Mounted Patrol, and other equipment utilized over the years that honor the ultimate sacrifice made by those officers that gave their lives in the line of duty.

Reconnect with nature today at Armand Bayou Nature Center, one of the largest urban wilderness preserves where you can learn, explore, respect, and help protect nature and its vital local ecosystems. Armand Bayou offers 2500 acres of natural wetlands forest, prairie, and marsh habitats and is home to over 370 species of birds, mammals, reptiles, and amphibians. They also feature hiking trails, exhibits, bat hikes, birding, a historic farm, a bison viewing platform, and Nature Photography.
