The National United States Armed Forces Museum educates and memorializes the heroic sacrifices and valiant efforts of soldiers who fought to keep our nation free. The museum displays rare collections and preservations of historical military artifacts, historical research, education, and the presentation of the public of the museum's collection. They wish to expand knowledge, deepen awareness, and provide a greater appreciation, to both visitors and residents, of the dedication and sacrifice of citizens in those in defense of liberty.

The Bayou City Art Festival is one of the top 200 iconic Arts Festivals in the world that showcases the works of several artists placed in 19 different categories at Bayou City Art Festival Memorial Park in the spring and at Bayou City Art Festival Downtown in the fall. Enjoy the vibrant arts community, where you can experience a high-caliber show and a culturally dynamic environment that displays an outdoor gallery of original works, one-of-a-kind art, world-class pieces, delicious food, great music, fun entertainment, and an opportunity to meet 280 select artists worldwide, all while creating a memorable and spirited good time with family and friends.

Revisit the ’80s at Hungry Like the Wolf, Houston’s only ’80s-themed diner and bar, where you can immerse yourself in the ’80s-themed menu, cocktails, vibes, ambiance, and decor. As you stroll through the diner, you’ll find 80’s nostalgia and memorabilia from yearbook walls to high school lockers, glitter tables, wicked carpet, and the spinning Rubik’s cube disco wall.

Theatre Southwest continues its passion for performance with six productions, a Festival of Originals, and monthly workshops. The entertainment venue showcases seasoned performers and break-out talent. As the theater continues to evolve and grow, it looks to lead Houston into a new era of breathtaking performances and live entertainment. All this creativity and activity takes a lot of work and a good amount of creative people.
