Join Alley Theatre, the crown jewel, where actors, designers, composers, and playwrights thrive using arts scenes on stage and produce up to 16 plays yearly, ranging from the best current work to re-invigorated classic plays. The talented cast, crew, and producers challenge themselves with different shows each season. In addition to the educational and outreach efforts each year, they encourage young playwrights, performers, and future patrons to participate and explore programs like Stage to Page, HYPE, and the Young Performers Studio.

Levy Park is a vibrant urban space located in the heart of the Upper Kirby District of Houston. The park’s design features beautiful landscaping, activity areas, a dog park, a community garden, and a Children’s Park. The grounds are free, year-round passive and active programming in wellness, the arts, education, and recreation. Discover new films every November at the Houston Cinema Arts Festival, where they feature a wide variety of curated feature films that focuses on the diverse cultural community of Houston, Texas. Houston Cinema Arts Festival is the only U.S. film festival that features films by artists about artists. This vibrant multimedia arts event breaks out of the confines of the movie theater through live music and film performances, outdoor projections, and more. They will also showcase the return of CineSpace, the annual short film competition with NASA, and the third annual regional short film competition Borders | No Borders.

Explore the origins of earth and man at the Houston Museum of Natural Science, where more than a dozen permanent exhibits explore the worlds of astronomy, space science, Native Americans, chemistry, energy, paleontology, and Texas wildlife. There are also several displays of dinosaur skeletons, natural gems, and other attractions that will keep you occupied for hours. Special sections of the museum include the Wortham IMAX Theatre, Cockrell Butterfly Center, Burke Baker Planetarium, and the George Observatory.
