Theatre Southwest continues its passion for performance with six productions, a Festival of Originals, and monthly workshops. The entertainment venue showcases seasoned performers and break-out talent. As the theater continues to evolve and grow, it looks to lead Houston into a new era of breathtaking performances and live entertainment. All this creativity and activity takes a lot of work and a good amount of creative people. If you are an actor who would like to direct, a director who would like to act, a backstage person who would like to be a front stage person, a writer who would like to try out a new piece of writing, someone who would like to experiment with a specific type of play,  or volunteer at the theatre for any reason make sure to check them out.

Kick off your summer list of must-see and do activities for friends and family alike, and make the Pasadena Strawberry Festival your fun-loving go-to for strawberry memories for life. Enjoy the 106 acres of family fun, where things get smoking hot at the sprawling barbecue pits and at the hottest concerts that will keep you moving. Held in May and at the Pasadena Fairgrounds, the festival is home to the World's Largest Strawberry Shortcake, Mud Volleyball, Carnival, BBQ cook-off, specialty acts, stage entertainers, a petting zoo, pony rides, racing pigs, and plenty of arts & crafts.

Enjoy your time at the Fun Plex Amusement Park, an indoor carnival featuring a towering facility that managed to put fun under one roof. Wander around and check out the playtime oasis that includes go-karts, carnival rides, a carousel, a Ferris wheel, bumper cars, movie theaters, a miniature golf course, a bowling alley, a roller skating rink, modern arcade games, a pool hall, and a play port. Concession stands with food and drink provide plenty of fuel to go all day.
