The Taste of Soul

The Menil Collection Art Museum holds over 19,000 pieces of art that are displayed in the main building and often switched around several other types of art collected from the 1940s. The collection is significant in its European art, including paintings by Henri Matisse and Pablo Picasso. The permanent collection highlights Arts of Africa, the Americas and the Pacific Northwest, the Ancient World, the Pacific Islands, Drawing, Medieval and Byzantine, Modern and Contemporary, Surrealism, and the permanent installation entitled Witnesses.

Levy Park is a vibrant urban space located in the heart of the Upper Kirby District of Houston. The park’s design features beautiful landscaping, activity areas, a dog park, a community garden, and a Children’s Park. The grounds are free, year-round passive and active programming in wellness, the arts, education, and recreation. Revisit the ’80s at Hungry Like the Wolf, Houston’s only ’80s-themed diner and bar, where you can immerse yourself in the ’80s-themed menu, cocktails, vibes, ambiance, and decor. As you stroll through the diner, you’ll find 80’s nostalgia and memorabilia from yearbook walls to high school lockers, glitter tables, wicked carpet, and the spinning Rubik’s cube disco wall.
