Lace up your running shoes and prepare to join The Chevron Houston Marathon festival that supports many charities, including CanCare, Texas Children's Hospital, and The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. As the largest single-day sporting event in the city, all runners get a chance to participate in the course map that runs together with a half marathon and a 5K race, where thousands of runners and spectators get to enjoy the fun signage, clocks, bottled water, Gatorade, aid stations, and exhilarating entertainment.

Theatre Southwest continues its passion for performance with six productions, a Festival of Originals, and monthly workshops. The entertainment venue showcases seasoned performers and break-out talent. Explore The Health Museum, an excellent, innovative, and interactive health and science educational experience, where you will discover a larger-than-life journey through the human body, see actual organ dissections, enjoy science mini-classes and mini-med schools, and check out the health fairs and community outreach, and family science labs. In addition to the permanent exhibits, other attractions include the McGovern Theater, the Sue Trammell Whitfield Gallery for traveling exhibitions, and four Learning Centers for classes, camps, and activities.
