Beat the Central Texas heat by diving into one of the two pools, slip and slide on the series of slides that tower up 22 feet, test your swimming skills in the competition pool or maybe opt for the beach entry pool with interactive toys. Not only will the kids have much to do, mom and dad can relax in the shaded rest areas and enjoy some great snacks at the reasonably-priced concession booths. One of Waco's most popular events is packed with tradition. The Homestead Fair held every November features fine arts and heirloom skills, and always boasts a full itinerary of fun activities like boot making, woodworking, pottery, metal casting and basket making, among many other demonstrations. Live music, great food, and a celebration of the various cultures in the area all make for a fun family festival event.
