The course proves to be a challenge but not one that will discourage budding players. The staff is known to be quite friendly and accommodating, and the grill serves a delicious menu designed to be enjoyed after a great 18 holes.
The Ridgewood Country Club offers the perfect balance of the classy and the casual on its18-hole, regulation length course that is an impressive medium-length layout. It includes 4 sets of teeboxes to allow the skill levels of all golfers. The course is situated in a very scenic terrain that overlooks Lake Waco and boasts a championship legacy, as the 1994 Southwest Conference Championship was played on this course. A full-menu restaurant is located on the premises as well as a separate club house and practice facilities.
The Twin Rivers Golf Club offers the best of both worlds. It is an accessible, player-friendly 18-hole course. The 7,478 yards of golf from the longest tees make for a par of 72 and the course rating is 76 with a slope rating of 131. It all translates into one of Waco's favorite places to play a round or two, and the stellar maintenance staff works hard to ensure that each green stays in tournament condition. Six sets of teeboxes make this course quite inviting, no matter what your skill level may be.
