If you love sports, you'll definitely want to make time to visit the Texas Sports Hall of Fame. This is where the state's greatest athletes get the due recognition that their hard work on the playing field has earned them. Within the Hall, there are separate sections that recognize the best tennis, football, and basketball players in the state. The exhibits are personalized yet historically dramatic as the feats of these individuals are presented with rightful respect and admiration at this popular Waco attraction.
Hawaiian Falls is the perfect place for the whole family to take the plunge! Beat the Central Texas heat by diving into one of the two pools, slip and slide on the series of slides that tower up 22 feet, test your swimming skills in the competition pool or maybe opt for the beach entry pool with interactive toys. Not only will the kids have much to do, mom and dad can relax in the shaded rest areas and enjoy some great snacks at the reasonably-priced concession booths. Have fun exploring the sights at this water-filled attraction, but don't forget the sunscreen!
Revel and relish in the delightfully entertaining performances found at the Waco Civic Theatre whose roots date back to the 1920s when the work of many enlightened citizens combined to form the historic Waco Little Theatre. Witness the fruits of the collaboration of Baylor's Drama Department and renowned architects to build and showcase the Theatre as it stands today. The theatre produces 6 Main Stage Productions, ranging from classic dramas to new Broadway musicals to hilarious comedies. Aspiring local artists, theatre professionals, educators, and youth all work in partnership to produce children’s theatre workshops, productions and outreach programs.
During your visit, you will encounter interpreted house museums that are presently open to the public. These historic houses serve as an opportunity to preserve Waco's heritage and history, educate the public, and inspire the community.
