The Virginia Holocaust Museum does an impressive job of presenting one of the most harrowing events in our history. It dramatically documents the horror of the many Jews who lost their lives in the Holocaust. The facility tells the story from several vantage points, focusing on how the Holocaust reshaped the lives of many Jews. The museum also highlights the stories of Virginia survivors and that makes up what is perhaps the venue's most emotional exhibit.

You won't have to go far to find quality entertainment when you make Theatre IV your destination. This is the second largest children's theater in the nation in attendance, and that distinction only drives this nonprofit, professional theater to continue to excel in its performances.

The Joseph Bryan Park may be an inviting place for families to play and relax in the great outdoors, but, like plenty of places in Richmond, it has an interesting history. Before it became a park, the property was part of the Young family's Westbrook estate in the 1700s. It was also a gathering place for participants in Gabriel's Rebellion in 1800. In addition to a walking path and tennis courts, there's also a great playground and picnic area and a tot lot that features a very popular sandbox.

The Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden is one of Richmond's most beautiful attractions. This natural haven of flowers and plants is highlighted by picturesque paths and vistas that invite you to take a leisurely, relaxing walk. Spread out over 24 luxurious acres, the Ginter Botanical Garden features various landscape designs, seasonal displays and gardening techniques. Also on site, you'll find a truly breathtaking example of a Victorian garden as well as Bloemendaal, an 1888 Victorian manor that has been meticulously maintained to retain its regal, commanding appearance.
