The Metro Richmond Zoo lets your kids get up close to the animals. They'll marvel at the towering beauty of the giraffes as they get a chance to actually pet them. The kids will have plenty to see as the zoo features more than 400 animals in their natural habitat attraction. Your kids will wander into Kidsville at Paramount's Kings Dominion and may never want to leave! The Kidsville section of this amusement park has drawn in lots of pint-sized visitors; this area of the park is designed as a town that's kid-size and full of fun. The Kidsville attraction is just one of the many at Paramount. On your journey through the park, you'll most definitely want to check out the different rollercoasters and rides that line the way. Choose from the Blast Coaster, the Volcano or two suspended roller coasters to see who's the biggest risk-taker in your family!

Breathe in the regal beauty and majestic grandeur of Richmond when you take a tour of the Capitol Square and Virginia State Capitol. The dramatic Civil War history and other episodes seem a little less heated when you experience the classic beauty of the State Capitol. The tour also includes a chance to see the surrounding grounds. Your guide will draw connections between the various points of interest within the Capitol building, some notable artifacts, and the surrounding sites. Don't forget your camera, as there are several monuments on the grounds that will make for some excellent photos.
