The Historic Governors’ Mansion provided residence for Wyoming’s governor from 1905 until 1976. This historic landmark and attraction is currently operating as a house museum, with rooms displaying decorations and artifacts from the 1905, 1937, 1955 and 1960s eras. Get up close and personal with the great North American bison at the Terry Bison Ranch, just seven miles south of Cheyenne. Explore the ranch resort attractions and its grassland grazers on either the custom-built train or by horseback riding along the trails. Formed by a small but dedicated group in 1989, the Texas Trail Museum marks the historic Texas Cattle Trail. Housed in a former Power Plant/Fire House, the small museum displays a number of historic and pre-historic artifacts from Albin, Burns, Carpenter, Egbert, Pine Bluffs and other areas of Laramie County, and includes six historic buildings.
