AWA offers exciting recreational rafting trips along this wild and scenic river, less than an hour away from Cheyenne. Great for novice adventurers and active thrill seekers alike, this ride over the rapids is comparable to one of the Cheyenne Frontier Day bull rides.
Come to the Mary Godfrey Playhouse or the historic Atlas Theatre to watch the Cheyenne Little Theatre Players bring a musical, drama, comedy or other special entertainment to life on stage. Since 1930, the Little Theatre troupe has been Cheyenne’s oldest and only continuously operating community theater group in the city.
Inside the Medicine Bow - Routt National Forest, you’ll find Vedauwoo. This outdoor site contains rocky outcropping of boulders, slabs and cliffs perfect for hiking and rock climbing. The weathered Sherman granite in the Land of the Earthborn Spirit makes for some of the best wide crack climbing (offwidths) in the world. Feel free to bring a tent as well, since the area also contains a convenient campground.
