Montgomery does have its share of the unexpected, and a prime example of that is the MOOseum. Sponsored by the Alabama Cattlemen's Association, this free educational center is located near the State Capitol and utilizes videos, exhibits and pieces of memorabilia to underscore the importance of cows and cattle. The back half of the museum attraction features a big amusement area that has a play kitchen, rodeo gear and saddles and a big stuffed cow. The kids will just love it!

It doesn't matter if it's a Broadway-style production, a dramatic play or a contemporary concert - if it's must-see entertainment, there's a good chance it is happening on the stage of the Montgomery Performing Arts Centre. This state-of-the-art facility features dazzling lighting, amazing acoustics and comfortably seats an audience of 1,800. While Buck's Pocket State Park may be a bit of a drive away from Montgomery, the area's amazing scenery and activities make it all worth it. One of the more popular activities is the park's 20 miles of hiking and recreation trails. These trails vary in length from a quarter mile to six miles but all offer a chance to experience the amazing woodlands and vista's from a truly unique perspective.
