Lake Martin is located in the central part of Alabama. It is an impressive 39,180-acre lake that is popular for swimming, fishing, water skiing, camping and other recreation. Boating access and marinas are numerous as to make access easier for boaters and other aquatic thrill seekers.

No visit to Montgomery is complete without seeing the three historic downtown streets that make up the Garden District. Even though the river begins in Tennessee before entering Alabama at Weiss Lake, the Coosa River meets the Tallapoosa River to form the Alabama River. Aside from great fishing and kayaking, the river is a great place to just sit outdoors and enjoy one of the area's most beautiful natural treasures.
