There's art that was probably inspired by something miles away, and then there's the kind of art that speaks to you because it hits close to home. That is what the works of art stir up in the many patrons who frequent SAC's Gallery. This is a cooperative gallery that prominently features the work of local artists. Sac's is sponsored by the Society of Arts and Crafts of Montgomery. Founded in 1979, it is located in the city's historic Mulberry District.

It doesn't matter if it's a Broadway-style production, a dramatic play or a contemporary concert - if it's must-see entertainment, there's a good chance it is happening on the stage of the Montgomery Performing Arts Centre. Among Cheaha State Park's many features are the spectacular views from its high hills and mountains. Another high point is the yearly Annual Mountain Bike Championship Race. The race follows along a 10-mile course that is set up along the park's impressive bike trail. But even when the race isn't on, biking enthusiasts sharpen their skills on this challenging yet popular recreation trail.

The Talladega National Forest is a favorite of nature lovers in Montgomery. In addition to offering a varied assortment of outdoor recreational activities, this is a place that just brims with irresistible natural beauty. The Cheaha Wilderness area of the forest is not only beautiful, but offers an unmatched opportunity for adventures like hiking and camping. The views are quite panoramic largely due to the valleys that follow the crest of the ridge on the mountainside. Make sure to remember to bring your camera!
