The minute you set foot inside the Martin Luther King home, you can feel the sense of historical significance. This unassuming house was home to Dr. King and his family and most assuredly the site of many highly dramatic and tension-filled moments. When you walk in, you enter the gift shop and then begin by seeing a video of King and other significant figures of the Civil Rights Movement. Your tour guide will be happy to answer any questions you may have along the way.

Founded in 1986, this group puts on a variety of performances that include both classical and contemporary works. Make sure to check the entertainment schedule for various major productions throughout the year as well as the highly popular summer schedule.

Your skill and experience level with hiking doesn't really matter as you can easily find a recreation trail that is best suited to your abilities at Lake Guntersville State Park. These trails range from moderate to difficult in terrain and cover over 36 miles of the park's property. These are multi-use trails and comfortably accommodate hiking, biking and horses.
