The arts takes center stage at the annual Mandarin Arts Festival every Easter Weekend in the historic community. If it can be created, it's on display here. Browse through paintings, jewelry, pottery, photography, sculptures and more. Also featured are a kid's art show, green market and an Easter egg hunt.
You'll appreciate the historical significance of Theatre Jacksonville, named Jacksonville's "Official Theatre" in 1972. Since then, this entertainment venue has produced classic plays like "Little Women," "The Importance of Being Earnest," "Arsenic and Old Lace," "Taming of the Shrew," "Wizard of Oz," "The Crucible," "Oklahoma" and many more.
Dine on gourmet food by a popular local chef and enjoy a professionally produced play on a romantic date at the Alhambra Dinner Theatre. The institution has the distinction of being the oldest continually operating dinner theater in the United States.
Skate at one of the oldest operating skate parks in the country, Kona Skate Park. This park is no dinosaur either. They have some of the raddest runs, including a 30' deep bowl with 6' tombstone extension, freestyle area and j-run.
