This special interest maritime museum outlines the history of ships and water travel along the Great Lakes and the Detroit River. Treat your ears to an acoustic marvel when you listen to the Detroit Symphony Orchestra perform. Located in Midtown’s Max M. Fisher Music Center, this symphonic orchestra has been an essential player in the world of music entertainment since 1914, and grew even more in popularity after providing accompaniments to many of Motown Record’s greatest hits.

Lace up your roller skates or rollerblades and head on over to the Northland Roller Rink, one of Detroit’s largest roller rinks, for a fun time. Skate during the public sessions to some of your favorite oldies as well as a few of the more current songs. Or, opt for a skating class or laser tag game.

Motown is renowned for its contributions to the music industry. Presented by the Motor City Music Foundation, the Detroit Music Awards recognize and honor Detroit area musicians during a multi-genre award ceremony hosted at the Fillmore Detroit.
