Become engaged with the art at the Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit. The MOCAD leads the way in Detroit’s contemporary culture through its constantly rotating contemporary art exhibitions and attractions. Since first opening in 2006, this non-collecting museum has focused on responding to modern cultural content, promoting collaboration and fueling crucial discourse.

Enjoy the outdoors and a lovely scenic view of the Detroit International Riverfront as you stroll, jog or bike along the Detroit River Walk. This paved pathway essentially consists of a 5.5-mile promenade that runs from the Ambassador Bridge to Belle Isle Park. Stop along one of the plaza or pavilions for some fun at the carousel, butterfly garden or fishing piers.

Treat your ears to an acoustic marvel when you listen to the Detroit Symphony Orchestra perform. Located in Midtown’s Max M. Fisher Music Center, this symphonic orchestra has been an essential player in the world of music entertainment since 1914, and grew even more in popularity after providing accompaniments to many of Motown Record’s greatest hits.
