This museum and library house the largest amount of materials regarding the state’s past. Saint Paul’s oldest surviving theater, the Fitzgerald Theater has been around since 1910. Once famous for screening foreign films, nowadays Minnesota Public Radio owns the Fitz. You may be familiar with their most popular show, A Prairie Home Companion, which is heard all over the nation. In addition to this radio show, the Fitz hosts all sorts of Broadway musicals, vaudeville shows, film festivals, concerts, and other entertainment.

Open until 11PM, Billy’s On Grand is a great place to catch the game and enjoy a few drinks at reasonable prices. Get some good grub while you’re at it, and you are ready to settle in for an evening relaxing with your buddies. Head out to the open patio or stay inside to watch a game on one of the many TVs.

Use the luscious Marjorie McNeely Conservatory’s gardens and galleries as the romantic background for your date. This conservatory contains an abundance of artfully arranged botanical life as well as sculptures and beautiful architectural features. Stroll through the Japanese Garden or be awe-struck in the Enchanted Garden, filled with butterflies.
