Make your way to Harriet Island during August to witness the greenest weekend in Saint Paul at the Irish Fair of Minnesota. Just like St. Patrick’s Day, this fair brings out the Irish in everyone. Come by for music, food, drink and workshops—all designed to share the Irish culture. The proceeds of this festival benefit the new (non-Irish) immigrant projects and other Irish cultural activities throughout the year.

Dive into the Wilebski’s Blues Saloon, a huge dive bar and nightlife venue with live music, awesome food and strong drinks. By huge, we mean Wilebski’s spans five levels with three bars and two stages. And don’t worry, there is plenty of room to dance and move around even with the tables.

The tranquil fountain and lovely landscaping create a peaceful, lovely mood—and is even more romantic in the evening or at night. Take a walk along the pathways or have a seat on one of the benches.
