This well-respected, nationally recognized theater presents works depicting emotional, relevant and valuable experiences from an African American perspective. The Penumbra Theatre Company has grown since its founding in 1976 to one of the exclusive top regional theaters.

Enjoy a romantic, elegant dining experience at Forepaugh’s. Built in an old three-story Victorian mansion, this restaurant offers an intimate setting where you can stop by for a wine tasting in the downstairs basement or sit down at the two other levels where you can dine among crystal chandeliers and rare antiques.

Join in the seasonal, citywide festival of the arts at the Saint Paul Art Crawl. All along Downtown, Lowertown and Harriet Island, vendors and local artists set up tents and galleries to display their wares. Listen to local bands perform on stage and in the parade during this three-day long extravaganza, watch performances by theater and ballet groups and admire the art and culture of the Capital City.

The 5,000-square-foot Harriet Island Regional Park is well known for hosting a variety of events throughout the year. This rental facility features three beautiful locations with their own stages, picnic areas and amphitheaters: Raspberry Island, Upper Landing Park and Kelley’s Landing.
