If you’re feeling the blues, stop by the Selby Avenue Jazz Festival. Since 2002, people from all walks of life have gathered as a community to celebrate the residents and businesses of the area through music, food and other activities. See what the local vendors have to offer, take in the eclectic culture and enjoy the smooth sounds of jazz.

Challenge your buddies to recreational warfare at Splat Tag Inc, open seven days a week. This enormous paintball field is only 25 minutes east of Saint Paul and offers 20 unique courses at one convenient location. Battle it out with a private group reservation or join in an ongoing game.

Bring the kids out to a place where they can touch, climb, splash, crawl, push, pull and press everything in sight. The Minnesota Children’s Museum offers fun-filled, hands-on exhibitions and attractions that allow children to explore and learn about the world by playing. Children can learn about the natural world, other cultures, history and art at the different galleries.

Visit the site of the Hopewell Native American burial grounds. Indian Mounds Park is home to the remaining 6 prehistoric mounds in the Saint Paul area, since the rest were destroyed as the town was developed. These burial mounds are protected for their historical significance, although you can picnic or play at the nearby playgrounds.
