This museum and library house the largest amount of materials regarding the state’s past. Learn about the history of Minnesota, or simply stop by for one of the many performances or other special events hosted in this large facility.
Head over to Saint Paul’s West Side for "La Fiesta Mas Caliente de Minnesota"—Minnesota’s Spiciest Celebration—Cinco de Mayo! Mexican and other Latino organizations celebrate their culture by hosting a variety of performances. Aside from delicious food, you can expect to see a colorful parade, a lowrider car show and music to keep the party going all day (and evening) long.
Fans of model railroads will not want to miss the Twin City Model Railroad Museum, home of the world famous O-Scale exhibit. Thousands of volunteer hours have been dedicated to faithfully reproducing the entire Twin Cities’ railroad system from the 1930s-1950s in O-Scale. In addition to this impressive model, the museum hosts other traveling exhibits, a toy train division and other special events.
Challenge your buddies to recreational warfare at Splat Tag Inc, open seven days a week. This enormous paintball field is only 25 minutes east of Saint Paul and offers 20 unique courses at one convenient location. Battle it out with a private group reservation or join in an ongoing game.
