Batten down the hatches and prepare for the Buffalo Bayou Regatta, Texas' largest canoe and kayak race open to paddlers ages 12 and up and who are encouraged to compete in the most memorable race along the scenic Buffalo Bayou that is a longstanding Houston tradition that begins near San Felipe Street and concludes at Allen's Landing. Free shuttle services are provided for all participants for the 15-mile exciting race that concludes with festivities, including live zydeco music, food and drinks, and trophies for the top three paddlers in Teams, Recreational Canoe, Recreational Kayak, and Unlimited Divisions.

Let your hair down and enjoy sand volleyball and pickleball at Bumpy Pickle, where you can enjoy five well-lit, regulation-size sand volleyball courts and nine pickleball courts. It’s a great place to unwind with friends and coworkers or even on an adventurous date. Bumpy Pickle offers a lip-smacking menu ranging from tacos to full-blown entrees. They even have something special for the kiddos. And you can bet they did not forget the sweet tooth, dessert-loving bunch.

The Museum features the most imaginative, elaborate, and artfully constructed art cars, lowriders, mobile vehicles, and revolving shows of art by local, national, and international artists of all media. In addition to curated exhibitions, there is a unique opportunity through the annual open call show for the artistic community to voice their response, via their artwork, to a topic of importance presented by the Museum.
