Visit the Chapel of St. Basil, based at the University of St. Thomas. Designed by renowned architect Phillip Johnson, the chapel includes three functioning bells, a custom-built organ, and an overall style reminiscent of historic European churches. The chapel hosts Mass every day. It seats about 225 people and is lit from the inside by natural light from the dome, a skylight over the altar, and the statue of Our Lady on the east wall and from the asymmetrical glass cross on the west wall.

Enjoy your time at the Fun Plex Amusement Park, an indoor carnival featuring a towering facility that managed to put fun under one roof. Wander around and check out the playtime oasis that includes go-karts, carnival rides, a carousel, a Ferris wheel, bumper cars, movie theaters, a miniature golf course, a bowling alley, a roller skating rink, modern arcade games, a pool hall, and a play port. Concession stands with food and drink provide plenty of fuel to go all day.

Let your inner Picasso loose at the Mad Potter, where you can paint your pottery in the studio. Start with choosing from the huge assortment of pottery pieces, including plates, mugs, banks, boxes, and more. Then design and paint by using special techniques and tools that make painting so easy anyone can create a masterpiece. Then take home your masterpiece and treasure it forever. Enjoy the creativity and fun of ceramic pottery painting at any of their retail locations.

Theatre Southwest continues its passion for performance with six productions, a Festival of Originals, and monthly workshops. The entertainment venue showcases seasoned performers and break-out talent. As the theater continues to evolve and grow, it looks to lead Houston into a new era of breathtaking performances and live entertainment. All this creativity and activity takes a lot of work and a good amount of creative people.
